Our Services

Health care

Our team of skilled professionals coordinates health service delivery across eight community health centres, and our remote mobile team services communities and pastoral outstations further afield.

We deliver a wide range of health services across the Katherine West region, covering primary health care and health education.

We also lead and coordinate community education programs in preventative health.

Programs, Education and Engagement

We run a range of health education programs to empower communities to make informed decisions about their health, prevent illness and stay healthy.

Our health education programs include topics such as:

Exercise, nutrition, chronic disease, smoking and tobacco, alcohol and other drugs, breastfeeding and infant health, sexual health, women’s health, men’s health, trachoma, hygiene, social and emotional wellbeing, and medicine and vaccination.

KWHB is strongly committed to working in partnership with community members and key community stakeholders.

We have formed a strong ongoing partnership with Life Education NT to deliver school-based education and community events.

We also engage with shops, schools and other service providers to build supportive environments where people can make healthier choices.

In addition to community engagement and information sessions, we develop and distribute health education materials that support our clients to make healthy choices. Visit our Resources page for more information.
