Timber Creek is located approximately 300km west of Katherine along the Victoria Highway. The township is a service centre for several Aboriginal communities and outstations. It also attracts tourists travelling between Katherine and the Western Australian border. The health centre is staffed by a health centre coordinator, doctor, remote area nurses and support staff. It is regularly visited by specialist services and various KWHB program staff.
The centre services a resident population of approximately 500 people in the Timber Creek region including nearby outstations.

Appointments and home visits
Clients are seen on a ‘walk in’ basis- the health centre does not make set appointments.
Home visits are offered to people who require them. Where a home visit is requested the health centre team will endeavour to provide this service.
After Hours Care

- Patients are bulk-billed with a current medicare card.
- Patient health information/electronic medical record is held at an off-site interstate location, and managed as per current health care privacy guidelines.
