Education & Training
KWHB encourages all staff members to undergo additional education and training, and provides generous allowances for staff to continue in their professional development. This year we have been particularly pleased to take on two new Aboriginal Health Practitioner trainees in Timber Creek and Kalkaringi, as well as seeing new qualifications achieved by four of our existing senior Aboriginal Health Practitioners.
Each Friday all our staff hook up via teleconference for a session we call 'Collaboratives'. This session involves educational opportunities, discussion of best practice issues, presentations on specific health topics by staff and a discussion of weekly activities by each health centre.
