A new AHP on the team!

Congratulations to Anthea Anthony, who just this week become Katherine West Health Board’s newest Aboriginal Health Practitioner graduating from the Batchelor Institute’s Certificate IV in Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander Primary Health Care Practice.

Aboriginal Health Practitioners provide essential clinical care to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community members, and are the heart of remote Aboriginal health services.

Anthea has juggled a significant workload, undertaking her study at Batchelor Institute, in addition to her clinical placements throughout the Timber Creek region. She has also provided essential leadership and support to outreach staff across social and emotional wellbeing programs.
