Introducing the Trachoma Trailer

The Katherine West Health Board has launched an interactive water trailer, designed to help children learn about trachoma and how to prevent it from spreading in their communities.

Trachoma is an eye infection which can lead down to the breakdown of the cornea and eventual blindness if not treated.

The trachoma trailer has interactive water games that helps children learn about the importance of hygiene, hand washing and Clean Faces, Strong Eyes.

The trailer is a collaboration between Katherine West Health Board, Rotary Clubs, University of Melbourne, Monash University, INPEX and Ventia.
